The University of Venice is comprised of four faculties that offer various degree programmes to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The faculties are all supervised by professional educators.

Faculty of Economics


The Faculty of Economics has 151 university professors and investigators and 113 external university educational instructors from other universities. It is divided into five departments that offer approximately 500 subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Faculty of Foreign Language and Literature


The Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature is considered the most ancient faculty in the university and the only institution in Italy that offers a wide selection of Western and Oriental cultures and languages studies.

It provides instructional training on language, literature and culture. It also offers studies and research on history, civilization, art history, geographic studies and linguistic sciences. The instruction of the Italian Language Signs (LIS) originated from this faculty.


Faculty of Letters and Philosophy


The Faculty of Letters and Philosophy offers degree programmes to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the study of arts, letters, philosophy and humanities. It uses structured instructional modules where each module covers 30 hours of lessons and 15 hours of specialized trainings.

Faculty of Mathematical, Physical, and Natural Science


The Faculty of Mathematical, Physical, and Natural Science offers only three degree programmes, but it is one of the largest faculties in the university due to its large student population. Some of the courses it offers are Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Computer Science.
